The Ulysse Nardin Minute Repeater watches [the Safari Minute Repeater, the Genghis Khan Minute Repeater and the Circus Adventurine Minute Repeater].
-Ulysse Nardin is a watch manufacturer founded in 1846 in Le Locle, Switzerland. Historically Ulysse Nardin was best known for being a manufacturer of marine chronometers, but today Ulysse Nardin produces complicated mechanical watches.
In 1983 Ulysse Nardin was acquired by businessman Rolf Schnyder who, in conjunction with watchmaker Dr. Ludwig Oechslin, re-launched the brand with other investors. The base movement used on the astronomical "Trilogy " and the "Sonnerie en passant" is the ETA (2892A2). The "Perpetual GMT", "Freak", tourbillons and repeaters are based on self-made movements, or on various older Lémania and AP constructions.
The ETA movements used have complication modules added: Big Date, power reserve/small seconds and GMT.
Changes and updates were done in order to improve the efficiency of the automatic winding. The beat rate has been increased to 28,800 BPH, while the diameter of the movement was reduced from 28mm to 25.6mm to allow it to be used in a wider range of cases.
